We recover heavily corrupted Firebird and InterBase databases when FirstAID cannot show (and therefore cannot recover) the data, when you have problems with nbackup, or when the database is very large.

How we perform the recovery

IBSurgeon offers two types of recovery service:

On-site recovery

You transfer the database (archived as zip, rar, 7z, etc.) to us, and we perform the recovery in our office.

Remote desktop recovery

Our specialists connect to your computer and investigate and recover the database remotely. See the remote desktop recovery guide.

Frequently asked questions

When do I need to pay?

After you have approved the quote and when database recovery is complete.

How to pay?

Credit cards, wire transfers, and other payment types are accepted. Contact us for a quote and/or invoice.

What is remote repairing?

Our expert connects to your computer or server through AnyDesk, Remote Desktop, Zoom, or a similar tool and performs the recovery there.

Do you work with medical, military, and other confidential databases?

Yes. We have substantial experience with institutions that handle sensitive information. We can also sign an NDA when needed.

Can we negotiate a flat rate for database recovery?

Yes. Write to us - we are open to discussing it.

I am not sure how to formulate my question…

Just email [email protected] and we will contact you, understand the problem, and help fix it as soon as possible.

Urgent request - extra charge

Some customers need urgent recovery across time zones (for example GMT+3), which can mean working day and night. We may ask for up to 100% extra charge for such urgent work.

Discount for frequent customers

Frequent customers (including buyers of technical support) may receive up to a 20% discount.

Investigation fee

Sometimes we ask for an investigation fee of EUR 150. We usually request it after a first-look investigation when repair looks difficult and we are not sure we can save a reasonable amount of data.

Other discounts

We can discount unusually time-consuming jobs, packs of databases, and similar cases. For example, if recovery takes a fortnight, the fee should not exceed the cost of recreating the lost data. For several databases at once we can offer up to 25% off or a flat rate per database. We also understand that corruption is a real disaster - we try to find a workable rate when budgets are tight.

Refund

We ask for payment after repairing is complete, and we agree in advance on expectations for success and failure. That is why we have had no refunds so far. If you are not satisfied with our service, a refund is still possible.
